Honey Red Oolong - Handpicked – Winter 2018
From east of Taiwan, this honey oolong is highly oxidised and slightly baked. Red oolong uses a process that is a cross between making oolong and black tea with a oxidation at about 70-90%.
The tea plants used to make this tea are grown without pesticides to encourage the green tea leafhopper to feed on its leaves, which helps impart a settle, sweet flavour into the tea.
Why not compare this tea with our Oriental Beauty teas or Alishan Honey Oolong teas? Our friend, the green tea leafhopper, also nibbles on the leaves of these particular teas.
